In this class series, we’ll use foundational practices, stories, and music to cultivate qualities that help us stay awake. Inspired by and in appreciation of Jilani’s longtime teacher Murshid Wali Ali Meyer, the series will also weave in teachings from Pir-O-Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan and Murshid Samuel Lewis. Jilani Julie Esterly stepped on the Sufi path in 1973. She serves as a senior teacher, initiator, and Cherag in the Sufi Ruhaniat International. As a home funeral educator, end-of-life speaker, and green burial advocate, she promotes the movement to recover death as a vital part of life. Bryn Morgan is Jilani’s daughter and a student of Asha Greer. She loves to sing to God and hopes to protect and praise creation (especially the creatures) beautifully in this lifetime and beyond.
